The overall goal was comprehensive and integrated conservation of the mills. It was reached through several activities: conservation works on several mills, identification and research of mills facilities, documentation of the current condition, valorization, raising awareness of their value, importance and fragility of the facilities and work on their appropriate and sustainable use. The results achieved can be seen through completed conservation and maintenance works on two mills in Mostar, one mill in Stolac, reconstructed mill (in Mostar) and mechanism of the fulling mill (in Stolac), produced architectural projects of the current condition of mills facilities in Mostar, Blagaj and Stolac, architectural projects of conservation works on three mills, geodetic survey with precise detection of river beds and channels for mills within the urban historical sites of Mostar, Blagaj and Stolac, designed and prepared exhibition of the mills in Mostar (designed as a museum with the interpretation of mills facilities and milling occupation) and life by the river Bregava in Stolac (designed as a neighbourhood museum), School on vernacular architecture (held for the students and young architects). Conservation and maintenance works on two more mills in Mostar should be finished by the end of this February.
